South of Moulton, you turn off  al 33 on to Pine torch motorway which is co rd 70.

At the three-way stop, you turn left on Mt. Olive Road which is co rd 71.

This link will display a map of the start on Brushy Lake.  You can back track all the way to Moulton.

 From Florence:

             Take Hwy 157 East to Moulton, AL.  Turn South on Hwy 33 to County Road 70.  Turn Left on 70 and follow to the Brushy Lake Recreational Area.

 

From Huntsville and Decatur:

             Take Hwy 24 West to Moulton, AL.  Turn South on Hwy 33 to County Road 70.  Turn Left on 70 and follow to the Brushy Lake Recreational Area.

 

From Birmingham:

             Take I-65 North to Exit 308.  Turn Left on Hwy 278 to County Road 63.  Turn North on 63 until it dead ends into Hwy 33.  Turn North on 33 to County Road 70.  Turn Right on 70 and follow to the Brushy Lake Recreational Area.

 

From Madison:

Not more than 45 minutes, depending on where in Madison. Follows I565 until it becomes highway 20 then merge left on highway 31 (south)

Come across the bridge into Decatur on highway 31,

Turn right on highway 20/alternate 72 just as you cross the bridge.  It is the first traffic light.

Go a couple of miles and take a left on highway 67/beltline road at a traffic light.

Go a mile and exit to your left on highway 24 west

Go 20 miles to Moulton, and at the 3rd light (next light after highway 157), turn left (south) on highway 33

Go a couple of miles and you pass through Wren (33/36) intersection and start up the mountain

Take a left on CO RD 70, and follow the brown Forest Service signs to Brushy Lake Campground
